The Phoenix Trampoline Club is primarily concerned with developing and maintaining an environment that is friendly, safe and secure for all participants. Consequently, we follow the best practice guidance as defined in the British Gymnastics Child Protection and Health, Safety and Welfare Policy. The full details of which are available on request and displayed on the notice board within the Phoenix Sports Centre.
Welfare officer
To ensure these policies are complied with and to provide a confidential line of communication through which concerns can be expressed, the Phoenix Trampoline Club has a Welfare Officer in place who can be approached or contacted at anytime. The Welfare Officer is:-

ANTI-BULLYING POLICY
Bullying of any kind is unacceptable. The Phoenix Trampoline Club is committed to acting promptly and fairly to any reported incidents. Full support will be given to the persons concerned and the incident will be dealt with promptly and effectively. As a caring club we expect that any person should feel able to come and tell any Welfare Officer or coach of their concerns and that anyone who witnesses any form of bullying is expected to report it immediately.
What is bullying?
Bullying is the use of aggression with the intention of hurting another person. It results in pain and distress to the victim.
Bullying can be:
Emotional - being unfriendly, excluding and tormenting (e.g. hiding personal items, threatening gestures).
Physical - Pushing, kicking, hitting or any use of violence.
Racial - Racial taunts, graffiti or gestures.
Verbal - Name calling, sarcasm, spreading rumours and teasing. Sexual - Unwanted physical contact or sexually abusive comments.
Homophobic - Because of, or focusing on the issue of sexuality.
Cyber - All areas of the internet, such as email and internet chat room misuse. Mobile phone threats by texting and making calls. Misuse of associated technology, i.e. Camera and video facilities.
Incident procedures
Reporting of bullying should be done without delay to any Welfare Officer or Coach.
Parents / guardians of all parties will be fully informed of all reported incidents.
Full support will be given to all parties concerned.
Every effort will be made to reconcile situations through mediation. However, in serious cases or repeated incidents suspension or exclusion will be considered.
After the conclusion of any incident each case will be monitored to ensure repeated bullying does not occur.

The following Code of Conduct should be read by parents / guardians of children in their presence to ensure that all points are clearly understood.
Participants:
Must always inform the coach of any medical condition or medication which may affect performance.
Must always inform the coach of any accident in the last six months which resulted in unconsciousness following a blow to the head.
Should never attempt to unfold / fold the trampoline.
Should never use the trampoline unless the coach is present and has given permission for specific skills.
Never get involved in 'Tests of Daring' with others who may be far more capable.
Never use foul or abusive language.
Never bring alcohol or drugs to the club or try and trampoline while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Ensure general behavior is of a satisfactory standard.
Ensure mobile phones are switched off during sessions.
Should never take any unauthorized photographic / video footage during sessions. This includes the use of mobile phone cameras.
Always abide by the Phoenix Trampoline Club Safety Code.

Parents / Guardians:
Must always inform the coach of any medical condition or medication being taken that may affect the performance of their child.

Advise the coach or Welfare Officer of any external situation that may affect their childs ability to participate fully in any trampoline session.
Ensure their child is dropped off and picked up promptly from all Trampoline session or club function.
Never take any photographs or video (including mobile phones) of their or other children unless they have first registered with the Phoenix Sports Centre. A copy of the registration being handed to the Phoenix Trampoline Club when completed.
Never attempt to interfere with a trampoline session whilst it is in progress.
Ensure that their behaviour and language is appropriate at all times.
