Following on from the news that a date had been agreed for the 24 hour bounce, a few parents sat down on Sunday to talk about how we could make it bigger and better this year. Lots of ideas were debated and actions assigned to people.
I ended up with the media coverage, amongst other things (note to self, stop volunteering during meetings). Anyway I thought I'd drop a few media outlets an email. Within 20 minutes of sending my email I got a call from BBC Radio Shropshire.
They were very excited about our event and want to cover it on the radio on the day. However, in addition to that they also want to arrange a day when we can do an early morning session and broadcast into their breakfast show between 7am and 9am. This is when they get their biggest audiences. The day has been arranged for Friday April 24th.
We are going to inform Phoenix School about it so they can get some of their pupils to join us to make some noise and have a go at trampolining.
I know it's early but days like these don't come around very often and you could even get on the radio, so please try your best to attend and make it a real event. Ultimately it could lead to a lot of funds coming into the club and also benefit the Hope House Hospice who are our shared charity.
More details will be given at the next training session.
